The Celebration of Romantic Love
Alannah Lori is a singer/songwriter from Paris whose passion for music was born from listening to her father, a classical guitar player who loved bossa nova.
Classically trained pianist and singer, her love for English language and music led her early in life to perform pop rock covers (Alanis Morissette, Annie Lennox, Amanda Marshall…) but in Jazz, inspired by Nina Simone, Ella Fitzerald, Diana Krall and Barbra Streisand, she found her voice, one that’s versatile and transports emotion.
From her French roots and love for the standards was born "The Mad Affair", a unique blend of Jazz and French music; a repertoire that is sexy and vibrant, with a smooth and smoky sound.
The art of the guitar duo
Born and raised in Ontario, Andrew played in rhythm and blues and rock bands. Since relocating out west, he has been extensively involved in the Vancouver music scene for the past fifteen years and studied with illustrious guitarists Oliver Gannon, Ted Quinlan and Steve Fisk.
Some of his major influences include Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny and Pat Martino.
Great experience and great voice
Such a joy to work with. Flexible, friendly, and professional. Best possible experience.
They were prompt, and very talented. The music filled the gallery space and created the atmosphere that we wanted. I would book them again without hesitation.
